Welcome to Mended Wing Counseling!
Casey Wheeler Becker is a licensed mental health counselor, specializing in eating, trauma-based, and generalized mental health concerns. She was born and raised in North Florida. She earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of West Florida. After graduating, she moved to Massachusetts, where she completed the required two years of supervised practice to become a licensed mental health counselor.
Casey’s education at Emory provided her with a biological understanding of behavior but personal experience and her degree in Counseling Psychology taught her about hope and healing. While she is skilled in the most prevalent and validated evidenced based therapies, she also understands the importance building an alliance with the client and staying hopeful, even in the face of complicated problems. With a foundation of hope and a strong therapeutic relationship, evidenced-based treatments take on the necessary vitality to produce healing.
Casey will be hosting a tea and book signing for “Dare to be Authentic: Finding your Authentic Self” at New England Mobile Book Fair on March 12th, 2014 at 7pm.
